The Multi-Rake Bar Screen works by utilizing multiple rake heads attached to conveyor chains to remove material that has been collected on the submerged static bar rack. The collected screenings are discharged through a chute on the downstream side of the screen located above the operating floor.

 

The Multi-Rake Bar Screen utilizes a fixed motor, mounted to the top of the screen frame, which is driving a chain and sprocket system to move the rake heads; that removes the material from the bar rack.

 

The number of rake heads can be varied depending on the cleaning cycle of the specific application, the system is a front cleaned, self-cleaning mechanical screens for the separation and removal of solid wastes from industrial and municipal flow systems, including storm water/CSO installations

 

Although the majority of the screen components are manufactured from 304SS, UHMW is widely used to significantly reduce wear, noise and replacement costs when compared to competitive machines. There are no rotating drive parts that come into contact with the liquid.

  • ½” 304SS replaceable fingers are used to remove material from the bar rack
